Race Report Donnington Park NG Road Racing
Following my recent race report, I had a number of calls, texts and emails concerned about my lack of enthusiasm for the racing so far this season.
I confess that riding in sub-zero temperatures for the first couple of rounds had dampened my enthusiasm. However, a trip out to a wet, but not too cold, Donington Park has seen the return of my mojo.
I finished third, sixth, fourth and crashed out of third place in the final.
I was challenging hard for second and was only about four inches away from the rear wheel of the second place rider, who highsided on the exit of Redgate. In order to miss the fallen rider, I had to grab a handful of front brake and throw my bike away. Happy to report that both he and I escaped uninjured, apart from being absolutely gutted at not ending up on a podium.
